This tour can be what you want it to be; it can be relaxing, entertaining, educational…or all of these. Inquisitive minds will be filled with wonder and satisfaction. The melodious splashing of the dolphins and manatees surfacing to catch a breath of resh air as they greet their onlookers are exhilarating. Every dolphin has its own signature whistle to distinguish it from other dolphins, much like a human fingerprint. Manatees are from the elephant family, whereas dolphin’s closest land relatives are cows, pigs and deer. Wonder how they migrated to the ocean? Or did they migrate from the ocean? Don’t be suprised when you spot large sea turtles bigger than your head moving about their aquatic playground. Estero Bay is also the familiar nesting habitat for ospreys, brown pelicans, frigate birds, herons egrets, cormorants and ibis colonies, as well as a popular camping area for many other migrating birds. Needless to say, binoculars and cameras are a “must”. Wanting to know more about migration facts, endangered species information, or just planning a fun and educational day to entertain the kids? This this tour is for you.
